Rest and Relax

Feeling tense? Try listening to peaceful music, or visually imagining yourself in a relaxing atmosphere. Stop studying or reading at least 30 minutes before you go to bed and use this time to relax instead.

Do some stretching and breathing exercises or try to relax major muscle groups. Muscle relaxation, beginning with your facial muscles and working down to your toes, can help induce sleep. There is good evidence that regular exercise during the daytime reduces stress, aids relaxation and improves restful sleep during the night.
